In 1865 the American civil war draws to a close with much of East America once again under British rule. By 1960 the world is split between the British and German empires. Overnight, the two become the two most powerful law enforcement officers in the land, given carte blanche to utilise the entire UK security services. It is a race against time. If The Engineer's main device is detonated, it will potentially reduce The City of London to rubble, but worse still, the results of the biological agent that might be released will bring almost instantaneous death to millions of Londoners and its visitors. Thus begins the largest criminal investigation ever conducted in the UK.
