The stealth of the 21st Century, Sherlock Holmes is once again bored. However, when Geneticist escapes from prison and 5 young men go missing, Holmes has suddenly found himself with an awful lot to think about. But then his assistant, Dr. Watson goes missing, and bodies turn up all over Britain. Suddenly, the race to find him (and the other men) alive, has begun.

Professional con-man Lawrence Jamieson has a lot on his plate; the seemingly permanent pain in his side known as Freddy Benson has been staying in his villa for the past week, he has been conned out of $50,000 dollars by a seemingly simple "soap queen" known as Janet Colgate (who just so happened to be the notorious Jackal), and to make matters worse, he can't seem to stop thinking about her either. So, when a yacht full of very rich people sail up to his back door with Janet (now apparently known as Paula) posing as a real estate developer, Lawrence is a little overwhelmed. To top it off, Janet has come up with an insane scheme that involves Lawrence to become Chips "Mr. Australia" O'Toole, a powerful Sydney real estate developer who just so happens to be Janet's (I mean...Paula's) boyfriend. And of course, dear old Freddy, who will be assuming the role of Randy Bentwick, Chips' junior partner and lovable mute. If the scheme goes well, the trio could be walking away with half a billion dollars to split between the three of them. But what happens when the game becomes a little too real, and all three con artists find an unlikely family in each other? And what happens when Lawrence starts to like "playing house" with Janet a little bit more than he ought to? After all, this is only temporary....right? This is a Lawrence/Janet fic inspired by the 1988 Dirty Rotten Scoundrels movie. I love Michael Caine and Glenn Headly, and as much as I adore Steve Martin I just thought that Lawrence and Janet had better chemistry together. Don't worry, I'll find someone for old Freddy in here too. Takes place just as the movie ends, with the three of them walking into the house just after Janet comes back with all the rich folks.
