I would like to say I always knew who I was. For a while, I thought I did, thought I was one of those people born with an internal guidance system who knew every right choice to make for themselves. But the reality is that I didn't. I went through my first twenty-four years of life stumbling over broken promises, misguided choices, and lost lovers.
