Her soulmates have never been Azzy's first priority. It's not like she didn't want to meet them eventually, she saw how her neighbors flourished within their soulmate's presence. Of course she would want that for herself, but between trying to scrape up enough money to get to college, to serving in the military, to piecing herself back together with glitter glue and scotch tape after being honorably discharged, her soulmates could wait. On top of this, working as a paramedic caused an ever-changing schedule, and the various hobbies that her therapist oh so insisted that she should have kept her busy for most of the week. But an arrogant, dark-haired doctor just loved getting under her skin. He'd cherry-pick his cases just so he could annoy her. And she hated it. Hated him. Hated his stupid, charming grin. Hated the ocean blue eyes that scrutinized her. Hated the (sadly) sharp jawline that flexed when she did something better than him.
