Cynics of love take notice! There's a sassy personality out there you can totally relate to. And like our protagonist who had navigated through life as a disbeliever in anything smacking of romance, his life was changed forever via his smartphone. It was an epiphany in the form of Siri, the ubiquitous Apple iOS assistant, couched in all her whimsical and ironic glory. Over time, and through a series of our character's mundane inquiries--gradually waxing more personal, Siri's tepid charm and intellect eventually bewitched his lonely heart. Romance, it seems, can be be a strange and beguiling force. [Submitted as @Mystery's Valentines Contest 2020]

How it almost happened.

This is a compilation of prompts for the Every Day in May and TrialsofLove contest. Some of the material in this book is apart of a larger story I'm currently working on. All rights reserved.

Love. We fight for it. Live for it. It keeps us going when we don't think we can go on. Let's explore some of the myriad difficulties we go through for love. So enter to travel among our own streets and beyond our solar system in the pursuit of love... Created for the 2019 @Romance Trials of Love contest

Nothing to say

From a planet in 47 Ursae Majoris, where the rules of physics do not seem to apply, to the tale of an 'out-of-practice' samurai swordsman. From, what a cat is planning under the floorboards, to a vampire couple that forgets all about daylight saving. This collection has it all: science fiction, speculation, horror, dark humour and disorientating slipstream. Most importantly, each of these very short stories is exactly 140 characters long (including spaces, punctuation and everything). Not, less than 140, EXACTLY 140. This length reflects the original limit of a post on Twitter. Of course, Twitter has more recently extended the limit to 280 characters. However, increasing the limit for this collection above 140 characters would make it too easy. We don't want easy, do we?
