I was thinking of all the funny thoughts we have and that it would be fun to jot them down. A little book someone could pick up and put down and dip into. Sometimes our thoughts are fleeting and others are more entrenched and thought provoking. There are also moments that are enjoyed or looked back upon. These were my ideas and I decided to run with it encouraged by my lovely friend @ShaunAllan So I would love to know what you all think. Feel free to tell me.

I write lots of things. Some are big, some are small. These are the small things. Whether they're excerpts from poems, one-liners from future novels, or self-contained stories small enough to constitute a tweet, I'll put them here. This will be an ongoing project, and new stuff will be added as I think of or rediscover it. Section titles will often be sarcastic or dumb because most of these little blurbs were never intended to have a title. The actual content will usually be much less sarcastic and dumb, but like any reasonable man, I will on occasion insert a healthy dose of sarcasm and dumbness. Each section contains a super-short something-or-other that I wrote at some point in my life. In general, you should expect great variation from section to section. Enjoy!

I have been told that this fingerpainting looks like a bowling alley carpet. That seems to fit the theme of this set of works. Occasionally, I write one-shots with the UTAS cast that describe the world background, would have been in the book if I had thought of them years ago, or just aren't canon but I liked them.

If you're a seeker of scares and thrills and would like to get unsettled in a hurry, then this is the anthology for you. I invite you to join me as I meddle with the dark side of speculative fiction, where I play around with short stories and micro-fiction from various themes and branches of horror. In this first ten-part volume, I will explore the themes of cosmic horror, ghosts and hauntings, and unexplained events. Author's note: There will be material that some readers might find disturbing. Appropriate trigger warnings will be placed at the beginning of each story.
