In the midst of family chaos, Jayn, the middle child, remains unnoticed, her existence fading into the background amidst the whirlwind of activity. Her parents, consumed by work and family obligations, offer little attention, leaving Jayn to navigate her world alone. Only her Aunt Choo and Uncle Chew provide sporadic moments of affection, offering brief respite from the loneliness that plagues her. As Jayn grows, so does her sense of isolation. At school, she struggles to connect with peers, her quiet demeanor misunderstood as aloofness. The overwhelming sensory stimuli of the classroom further alienate her, leaving her feeling drained and disconnected. Despite her efforts to fit in, Jayn remains on the fringes, longing for acceptance and validation. At home, Jayn grapples with the shadows of neglect, her accomplishments overshadowed by her siblings' successes. Her parents, though well-meaning, fail to recognize her struggles, their attention diverted elsewhere. Jayn yearns for affection and affirmation, but her pleas go unheard, deepening her sense of worthlessness. As Jayn's journey unfolds, she confronts the harsh realities of adolescence with increasing despair. The weight of neglect becomes unbearable, threatening to crush her spirit entirely. In a moment of desperation, Jayn reaches a pivotal decision-a decision that will forever alter the course of her life and those around her...

Noah is the middle child-quiet, reliable, and forgotten. While his older sister Ellie and younger brother Max bask in their parents' love and attention, Noah is left in the shadows, doing chores, excelling in school, fixing what's broken, and asking for nothing. Birthdays pass unnoticed. Achievements are brushed aside. Apologies fall from his lips like rain, even when he's done nothing wrong. When their grandparents visit unexpectedly, expecting to find the same old pattern of neglect, they instead witness something shifting-something quiet, but powerful. Ellie begins to notice the repaired things. Max realizes who's been doing his homework. Their parents, once blind, start to see the boy who never asked to be seen. Slowly, painfully, lovingly, Noah becomes more than the child in the middle. He becomes the thread that holds them together.

"We don't have a favourite" I think this is the biggest lie my parents have ever told. In the beginning it wasn't obvious it still may not be obvious to other people but I see it, I live it. It's a joke, a sarcastic thing people say "middle child syndrome," but it eats away at you. What does it mean, I still don't have a real answer or I do but its my answer related to my idea of being the middle child, my idea, my childhood well my entire my life.

This story will be chaotic. I don't have a good memory, stories will jump from one scenario to another. It's a spider web and it's all connected. I am going to serve you a sloppy plate of plot. This story is a form of an autobiography. It's my messy life, my story. Maybe no one wants to hear it, but for me this is the ultimate act of betrayal. Final step of freedom is screaming to the roofs what he did to me. Buckle up and enjoy.
