This is another story for school! Might keep updating it if I would like too. Before you say anything, yes I added Hetalia and a Homestuck easter egg. :3

In a fantasy universe, war strikes just as magic wakes up in humans- in the winter. Baylee, still a child, finds herself in an underground escape route known as The Middle Passage. A simple girl, a war, a strange boy and as usual, some magic.

In chains, Nya journeys to the French Caribbean island of Saint-Domingue. She escapes slavery at sixteen years old and becomes the lead soldier of a small army. Nya relinquishes her crown as the last princess of Saint-Domingue to become the first daughter of Haiti.

"It was just Adannaya and I in the house. I was mending clothes in the front room when I heard a scream." When Ada-afo and her sister Adannaya are captured by a raiding party, they have no idea what horrors they are going to face.
