Coalblaze is a lonesome she-cat who is seeking a mate. She lives in an old barn, and rarely sees action. Therefore, Coalblaze longs for a family of her own, a family she can live a peaceful, quiet life with; kits she can raise, a mate she can talk to, yet she wishes to avoid the chaotic lifestyle of a true feral cat. However, what this she-cat doesn't know is that her blood ties her to wild, dangerous kin. Midnightsky is a fierce, feral tom, and a devout member of the Black Katz: an evil band of rogues who wish to claim complete power and dominance over the forest and its inhabitants, despite whatever pain and suffering they must cause in order to do so. All his life, Midnightsky had been taught to be ruthless. Raised under a dark, malicious leader, Middy would do anything to prove his worth to his group--even if it means killing some cats in the process. It also turns out that Middy, too, has blood ties that connect him to Clan life and intertwine his story with Coalblaze's. When Coalblaze is assigned as Midnightsky's mission, the two discover that they both harbor true feelings for each other, but both have a choice to make: Does Midnightsky withhold more loyalty to his group or his newfound love? And when Coalblaze is forced to discover Middy's dark past, will she learn to accept him for his flaws, or leave him because of them?

This was originally written for Brenda and Sky' monthy contest prompt #9 however, it wasn't entered as the contest filled up too quickly. I have re-written it to work for the new contest I am in. Stardust contest prompt: sorry I was late I was walking my fish. Catherine is a teenage girl is stuck at home during the Corona virus quarantine. Since she can't go anywhere, she's bored out of her mind. That is, until the old house next door is bought by a new family. Much to her delight and to her despair the new family has two children her age a beautiful young woman and very handsome teenage son...Catherine is very anxious to meet them. You see, She doesn't have many friends in fact, she only had one and she had just recently gotten into a fight with her. How would she ever be able to make friends with this new family with these stupid social distancing rules? Will love be able to blossom during this terrible pandemic?
