The Dursley family moves to New York City when Harry is 9 years old because Vernon is offered a position at the New York office they are opening. After Gruning's discovers tax fraud in its employees they hire Pearson Hardman to help the case in court. After the Dursley family get arrested for extra funds they could not account for each year Harry is taken in by Harvey after a DNA test shows they are related. Together Mike and Harvey help Harry to learn new healthy habits, excel in school and take on changing the Hogwarts curriculum to match the rest of the world standards.

There was more than prison at stake... much more. She was one of Mike's last living connections to the late Rosses. He couldn't go against Jessica. Not when his fifteen-year-old sister, with a heart condition, was mentioned in the letter. She couldn't live with their older brother, and he couldn't let her be ripped away from what's left of his family. All he could do was hope Harvey would understand.
