When I was little, I always loved the idea of superheros. I read all the comics, watched all the cartoons and even dressed up as them for Halloween. My mom always told me,"Ladies shouldn't like superheros. You're a little girl, go play with barbies or dress up in a tutu." I ignored her and continued playing with my action figures and running around the house with a cape. Superheros don't need powers or costumes to be superheros though. A superhero is someone who is willing to risk it all for the safety and well being of other human beings. Superheros are all around us if you go by that definition. At the mall, on the streets, your favorite restaurant or even you could be a superhero. But there are those superheros with the powers and costumes. They are hidden and all around us. They couldn't reveal their identity or everything could be ruined. I found that out the hard way.
