After being down the sewer way too long the boys want acceptance from all the humans in new York city as they take down Superfly and the other mutants. but Mikey starts to fall in love with a beautiful human girl about his age.

Falling in love is dangerous, especially for mikey, who must stay focused if they want to rule someday. But when his sister brings her new friend to their palace, things change. . . . Note: characters are in high school and it doesn't necessarily follow the manga plot at all times.

Some fanfiction stories that I've read about these two is that Mikey looks up to Raph like a hero, Raph's always there to comfort Mikey whenever he feels scared or sad despite his tough behaviour, and that they're best friends. Plus, they're always there for each other, not to mention that they've always got each other's backs. In an effort to bait the turtles and Splinter, Shredder takes Karai hostage and threats to mutate her, while he wishes to mutate the turtles into snakes but something else takes place instead. These challenges are only the beginning for turtles.
