New story of mine I came up with after watching the Stranger Things finale (ENDING BROKE ME BROOO 😭😭😭😭). SPOILER ALERT!! It's now 1990, about 2 years since the Upside Down was blown to hell. The routine of the gang's more or less returned to normal, but all that changes when a certain girl returns to Hawkins for a visit. More specifically, one that's about 2 years overdue. Cover made by me with Canva (it was a lot easier than drawing and my art skills suck tbh)

This is during season 5, in filling in the blanks Of what didn't happen. Who we didn't get a reunion with (Dustin, El, Etc) and just things I imagine happening between scenes. Also gonna write the stuff that DID happen in the show too, just saying what I think their internal monologue would be saying. (Specifically Max's.) First two chapters made before the finale. (Warning) mild swearing and medical equipment being used on Max, non-sexual nudity in a medical/caregiving context. Mike and El had met when they were in the 7th grade then el moved away from New York, Mikes school from New York had a field trip to Indiana for a week, Their lesson was about animals and how to take care of them so of-course the teachers decided to pick horse riding at a Hawkins stable! Mike wasn't excited for the event but he thought it'd be cool riding horseback in the fields, little did he know he was about to meet a girl who would steal his heart from him, holding onto it for years until their eyes finally meet again.
