    1. Frequency If a wide bandwidth isn't necessary, a narrow band should be chosen, suited to the specific application the antenna is intended for. 2. Power Rating Do you need a higher power TX antenna or a lower power RX antenna? What is the rating needed to ensure the power fed into the antenna is correct? 3. Beam Pattern What directionality and gain are required? The antenna will be chosen by how broad the pattern needs to be and where the signal needs to be focused. 4. Polarisation The polarisation of an antenna should be chosen to match the signals and antennas used in the system to prevent any loss of signal power or information. 5. VSWR Antenna VSWR is a measure of how well matched the load is to the source. This determines whether any of the signal is reflected back from the antenna, creating a standing wave. 6. Size The dimensions, weight and portability of the antenna are important to consider as they affect where the antenna can be used and how easily. 7. Environment Consider the temperature and environmental conditions you will be using the military discone antenna. What IP rating do you require? Ruggedized antennas will stand up to harsh environments. view us: https://www.antennaexperts.co/category/military-surveillance-antenna
