Alexzander, a gemstone elf, finally defeats a long-term enemy. But not in the way he thought he would. Luke, a Demonoid, is turned into a mortal. For either two weeks or two years, Zander will be expected to look after Luke. They learn a lot about each other along the way. Neglected feelings resurface, friends are made along the way, and Zander starts to think Luke isn't who he thought he was. It's been 8 years since her mother's death. Eloise Sterling hasn't had a day go by where she hasn't thought of her. Eloise lives in a motel with her dad now. Her dad, Jake Sterling, has no social life because of losing all his friends, and he hasn't bothered gaining any new friends because he spends a lot of time away from home and tries to make time for her. Really, after her mom died nothing has been the same. Money is tight, her dad sleeps on the couch, Eloise nurtures a cat she named Pebble every few days and her school life is mediocre. I wonder how meeting her family again will be when her uncles run into Jake.
