Gdy postacie są już w 3 klasie liceum, jeden z głównych bohaterów czyli Keenan Sharpe, dowiaduje się, że jeden z jego kolegów z dzieciństwa zaginął. Policja próbuje działać ale ma dużo innych spraw na głowie, więc Keenan postanawia działać sam z pomocą jego starego przyjaciela, który nazywa się Zippy Lerner... Jak potoczy się ich los i czy uda im sie odnaleźć zaginionego przyjaciela Keenan'a tego dowiecie się podczas czytania.
