Every five years, a secret organisation in East Asia chooses 5 highly skilled teenagers to spend the rest of their lives together. Live together, train together, fight together, die together. But at the end of these five years, the same result happens over and over again; the teenagers' bodies found broken and twisted, destroyed in a way that no teenager should ever have to experience. Information about the attackers remain a mystery to the organisation and the only way to work it out is to keep on sending in teenagers. To keep on feeding them false hope that everything will be okay; to keep on sacrificing and killing them. But what if the sacrifices find out that these attackers are their age? That they are also dying too? It must seem like such an impossible task, balancing love and unspoken emotions, whilst faced with pain and death.
