The outcome of this series (and possibly this book) will depend on the outcome of Season 5 so I can't promise a proper conclusion for a while.

This can be read as a stand-alone book, though it is #2 in the history of the three books that dwell in this fantasy series. There are some spoilers for Ike Penworthy (book "1") in this book.
