A long time ago, long before us, there was a rocky little planet from a galaxy not too far from ours. It was named Azoica by it's inhabitants. They were a very advanced civilization and they knew that their sun was dying. Mind you, these people were very similar to us, appearance-wise, anyway. These people were desperate, so they engineered a sort of... seed, which they embedded into a special type of mineral. The seed was designed to produce a child if the conditions are right. They were desperately hoping that this would work. They selected a planet that looked as though it would soon be inhabitable. It wasn't quite the same as their planet, but it would have to do. They shot it towards this young planet, hoping that against all odds, their race would be continued. The supernova caused the mineral that they chose to strengthen, and in doing so, it strengthened the seed. It also altered the process of when the child would be produced, lengthening it by who knows how long. This, in turn, caused the seed to open in the year 2000 AD.
