A tale of love, betrayal, and redemption set in a coastal refuge where former Gladers and sirens coexist after escaping WCKD. Transformed into sirens by WCKD's experiments, Newt, Teresa, Aris, and others struggle with their newfound powers and the consequences of their past actions. What happens when life long friends Minho and Newt get seperated from the group in the scorch trails? What happens if Newt gets fataly hurt and kidnapped? What happens when Minho and Newt want to die together, but fail? what happens when Minho thinks Newt is dead? Time to find out.

A Minewt (Minho/Newt) story. It's after the maze where Thomas finally tells Minho about Newts death, but mainly flashbacks!

Minho and Newt have been friends and lovers for a long time, and everything was okay. Until it wasn't. After the maze, they both start sinking into grief and sadness. The one question they ask each other over and over is: "Are you okay?" They always reply the same way "Yeah, I'm okay." But they really aren't. They tell themselves again and again it'll be okay. That they'll make it to the safe haven, that they'll live a long happily ever after. that they'll be okay. But then they both realize something. They aren't okay. Neither of them will tell each other; until it's to late.

(Previous name: the Lonely King) Newt was becoming a new king. After his father died, he had no choice but to carry the biggest responsibility in a prince life. Years after years, he ruled his kingdom in peace. But within those years, he could not accomplished one thing as a king and as a person himself. He could not bring a happy 'peace'(piece) to his own heart.

Minho doesn't feel like partying with the other Gladers. So he separates himself from the group. A drunk Newt joins him.
