Stupid Samuel is a ten-year-old boy who has a penchant for being naked, reminiscent of "Emperor's New Clothes." The village he lives in is typical of a small town with crab mentality, where townsfolk are quick to jump to conclusions and vilify individuals who do not conform to social norms. "Stupid Samuel and Other Stories" is a literary collection of stories, mostly satirical, commenting on social, political and other issues. He rejected the world because he could. No prophecy. No catastrophe. No grand purpose. Just a quiet choice, a distant mountain, and a pit said to swallow everything. He jumped. A halo appeared mid-fall. He wandered through caves where mushrooms glowed and turned divine at his touch, where a silent black silhouette with two red eyes stared back in shared confusion, and nothing - absolutely nothing - judged him. He jumped again. And woke in the same ordinary house, the same quiet life. The halo never left. No one else can see it. No one else can touch it. But he can - cool, solid light circling his head like a crown no one asked for. A slow, unapologetic story about refusing everything... and being given almost nothing in return. Just existence, slightly altered. Forever.

Shuffle my rabbit's playlist, write a tiny poem. 240 altogether. In 2017, I adopted Prince Argo. I'd take his picture and caption them with lyrics. I made a playlist of the songs. I'd build on it fastidiously for years. Pics of Prince Argo and my second rescue rabbit, Lord Allston. After 7 faithful years, Argo crossed the rainbow bridge. He was my best friend. On my worst days, I'd listen to sad music for hours and pet him as long as he'd let me. He never judged. In his honor, I reflect on the songs we listened to most. Every so often, I'll hit shuffle on his mix and write a tiny twitter poem based on the song. These aren't meant to be perfect. They're short and written quickly.

A moth wakes inside a quiet room and must decide which light to obey. Between a lamp that asks to be loved and a window that refuses to bend, instinct becomes choice. A short, lyrical meditation on nature, houses, and the exact cold of glass.
