Minisaga Stories

Inspired by Daniel H. Pink, this collection contains a series of unrelated minisagas--stories of exactly 50 words. Not one word more or one word less; count them if you like. I plan to update as often as daily and no less than three times per week. The goal is to exercise my writing muscles and entertain readers. Comments and votes are welcome. I hope you enjoy!

A short-story I wrote for English class. Our assignment was to read a selection of short stories and then write our own based on one of them. The story I decided to base mine upon is called "Like Mother, Like Son" and is written by Pauline Cartledge. To understand my short story it's pretty important to have read her's so I included it as the first chapter. Luckily it's a mini-saga of only 50 words so it doesn't take long to read. "Chin Up" is about a boy who gets sent to a boarding school by his mom. Hope you enjoy! //Anna

Amaya Santos, a typical sister, perfect daughter and soon to be wife of Manuel Tyn II, was over the moon. Who wouldn't be? She was the envy of every lady and mother in the whole town. The wedding was scheduled to be the biggest one the town has ever witnessed. Amaya's family couldn't help but keep bragging to every one who cares to listen that their daughter was the selected bride by the King's family. Their town, Seville, had been under the rule of the Tyn family, right from the era of Manuel Tyn, and it has been a well known tradition that the heir to the throne was to select a bride from any of the noble families. Luckily for the Santos family, the bride was none other than their second daughter, Amaya. But who would have thought, that the planned to be Terrific Wedding Party, was going to end up in a Bloodbath!

This is a 100 word Mini Saga about a terrific Mother Nature event, it could of been about anything nature causes like volcano eruptions, a storm, Tornados and all. The Foreign Wave is about a young girl called Reilly Addams who has lived in Thailand for over 5 years as she is currently studying there. She is organically from Germany but she has decided to travel and take courses in Thailand.

If you don't know what to read, Mini Sagas for Every Genre is perfect.
