I have been best friends with Emery Mark Weathers since I was five. When he turns 18 he goes off on a trip but won't tell me the place. We have lived together since I was 16. His parents left him when he was 16 with a note. My dad left me later after my mom died with a house and money. Emery told me that he wouldn't let them take me away to an adoption center. But when he comes back he is acting strange. He also won't let me out of his sight. He glares at anyone who touches me. Why is my best friend acting strange? Why is he suddenly so protective of me? Where did he go on his trip? And mostly, why do I suddenly want my best friend to be more than my best friend?
