**ON A BRIEF HIATUS AS OF MARCH 22ND, 2022** What if Casita was unable to properly protect Mirabel when the magic began to fall? In an AU where Casita did not have the abilities left to protect Mirabel from the destruction of the rubble, the remainder of the Madrigal family will have to face a sort of trauma that asks the same question and relays the same guilt. In this narrative collection of POVs from the Madrigal Family reeling from this tragedy and adjusting to a world without their powers, each one will be forced to ask themselves one question that demands one answer: Was the loss of one of their own... less damaging than the loss of their power? This fanfic is not related to the plot of the movie Encanto, but the characters and the setting is the same. Y/n stumbles across a Colombian village by accident, only to find the villagers imprisoned by the Madrigals. As Y/n uncovers the hidden secrets, and gains the trust of the family, they find that not everything is as it seems, and there's a certain something hidden behind closed doors... I've changed the names of characters just not to confuse the villian madrigals with the good madrigals. [ENCANTO SPOILERS] This is a story about a 15 year old boy named Camilo Madrigal from the Disney Movie, Encanto. Camilo has always been the fun jokester of the family. He has never failed to make anyone smile, he is a caring brother and a caring son. He loves and cares for his family. But unfortunately, Camilo has been going through some teenagers hormones lately and have been feeling a bit emotional and drained therefore haven't been helping the family as much as he has before. (This story takes place after the event of the Encanto movie itself) [WARNING: a few cursing ahead]
