Marinette starts a youtube channel where she sings under the persona Ladybug. Her videos get popular. She gets signed to a record label where she gets to work with another masked singer. Chat Noir. What to know: for the majoraty of the time they're in school, it's their last year. All of Europe speaks English in this Au because it's a lot easier to write. Marinette speaks Chinese for more storytelling elements. It's kinda like a Hannah Montana sort of thing.

-AU- The year is 1942, two years after the brutal Blitzkrieg that brought France to her knees. German bombers soared overhead, unchallenged in the clear summer sky, and in just six weeks, Paris had fallen. By day, Marinette works at her parents' bakery, and Adrien Agreste serves as Hauptmann in the German Wehrmacht at his father's wishes. By night they are Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes of the French Resistance.

What if Adrien never gave Marinette the umbrella? What if she didn't fall head over heels in love with him? What if she loved someone else instead? This is an alternate universe about exactly that! Have you ever tried to imagine what Miraculous would be like if the umbrella scene never happened? Well, you don't need to imagine any more! (Miraculous is a TV show by ZAG Studios and Thomas Astruc! And she was willing to do whatever it took to find the happiness she never had. However, during her time in Paris, something happened that changed everything for her... She becomes a hero. A batgirl in the City of Lights.
