She has the hugest crush on the one and only famous model, Adrien Agreste. Son of Gabriel Agreste, the famous fashion designer in which Marinette admires, because of her interest in fashion design. But what nobody knows is Marinette is the heroic super-heroin, Ladybug! She fights to protect Paris from the akumatized villains of Hawk Moth, with her partner Chat Noir. Chat Noir is head over heels in love with Ladybug, despite not knowing her identity. Chat Noir's identity is Adrien Agreste, and Hawk Moth is his father, yet no one knows this. Hawk Moth works to get Chat Noir and Ladybug's miraculous, for if they are merged, the power has no limit, and Hawk Moth wants to revive his wife, Emilie Agreste, but the wish comes at a price. Marinette must work hard to protect her secret double life, and her identity as Ladybug. Even if it means lying to everyone surrounding her, including Chat Noir.

In summer Marinette gets bored of saving Paris and being a student. Her childhood bestfriend Kim, shares his mutual feeling of boredom. The two end up spending the rest of the summer together.
