Strange things have always happened around Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Her origins are unknown. No one knows how she ended up in a fire on the second floor of the closed bakery belonging to the young Dupain-Cheng couple. She's been clumsy all her life, despite her parents taking her to several physical therapy and therapy counseling sessions. She's never been able to stop creating, always in her element. And when her temper flares, things get explosive. But, as Fate may have it, the answers to her odd quirks may be revealed. A man is creating supervillains with evil butterflies. A tiny goddess of Creation and Luck knows more about Marinette's innate powers than she lets on. And although she's never believed in soulmates, her heartstrings are tugged, pulling her toward two boys that are total opposites of each other. Or: Tom and Sabine return from a date to find that the upper floor of their bakery is on fire, with a red-haired, bluebell-eyed baby in the middle of the flames. Her hair changes colors...magically...Miraculously, to the same shade of midnight blue as Sabine. The couple needed no other incentive to adopt her--to keep her safe. Marinette grows up unaware of her true potential. That changes when she receives her Miraculous, befriends a Goddess of Creation, and falls in love with two blonde boys.

But, as time ticks closer and closer to when she has to go back home, she fears her developing feelings for him might end in tears when they part ways. Then there's the flirtatious Chat Noir that started strangely showing up to check on her every night soon after... Paris is definitely a lot more interesting than America!

Yet, when Marinette Dupain-Cheng transfers from Paris, Adrien is immediately drawn to her. Skeptical of Marinette's clumsiness and good nature, Chloe, Kagami, and Lila decide to investigate her to make sure Marinette is interested in more than the fame that comes with being his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Marinette quickly learns of the Elites' exclusive nature, creating an immediate dislike of them, despite Adrien's kind nature. When she and Lila are assigned as project partners, Marinette sees a different side of the Elites' clique and wonders if Adrien might be the right one for her.

The whole world hates Marinette for cheating on her husband with Chat Noir. Her husband, on the other paw, isn't too bothered.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng has given up on her love for Adrien Agreste. Marinette doesn't know what to do, but luckily, Luka Couffaine is there to love and care for her. Mari decides to go after Luka. Adrien and Kagami are together too, after all, that's mostly why Mari gave up on Adrien anyway. Meanwhile, Cat Noir has stopped flirting with his Bugaboo, which she seems to not be happy about. And as Mari cuts off her love for Adrien, he seems to notice somethings about her he never got to see before. Based off their new found relationships, the two's new crushes for each other are causing them to get into a sticky and very confusing situation. This is a miraculous ladybug fanfic. For context, this takes place after the third season of mlb and the New York special. This does include Season 4 spoilers. Thank you! I don't own characters.
