What if after the last game of Akagi Junior High, Eijun threw himself into learning more about baseball. What if he acknowledges that he isn't that smart, and knows that his only chance is to be recruited for a big baseball high school? would he show up to Seidou differently than in cannon? Eijun a boy often witnessed to be playing some flamboyant piece of music or practising chords on an instrument many don't normally see him play. Every day since he was small it was always music that grounded him and was the thing that calmed him when he became loud or boisterous. A saviour for his mother who could never calm him as a baby or when he was still very small. Sawamura Eijun, a first year pitcher at Seido High School, has developed feelings for Miyuki Kazuya, a second year catcher, and catches the hanahaki disease, a disease caused by unrequited love that makes flowers bloom in people's lungs until they eventually clog their airway and they suffocate. There's two ways someone can be cured, either the person they love gains feelings for them too, or they get a surgery to remove the flowers along with all feelings they had for the other person. In fear of Miyuki finding out he has the disease, Sawamura gets the surgery at the beginning of his second year, after hiding it throughout his first, but what he didn't know, was that Miyuki had caught feelings for him, too.

Eijun gets hurt in the game but pulls it off as normal to continue the game.
