Rose, a blind elf, uses magic to heal but needs constant protection. A nine-foot-tall chunk of granite, Gabe the golem has lots of muscle but little brain. Their quest is difficult enough, but the real challenge is learning to work as a team. When the quest takes an unexpected turn, the fate of the entire kingdom may depend on how well they can get along.

Just as life seems to be settling back into routine, a new adventure rears its head. Rose is missing, and no one at the Wizard's Tower seems to remember her. No one except Gabe, that is. Concerned for his closest friend, Gabe seeks the advice of the banshee, Nemo. Together, they decide that this is a magical problem beyond their skill. Unsure who else they can trust, they turn to a pair of old friends. But Tris and Eryll are outlaws now. Will they agree to risk their own safety and help? Will Gabe and Nemo even be able to find them? The mystery of Rose's disappearance runs deeper than any of her friends could have guessed.

When an allied land unexpectedly declares war, experimenting with dark magic seems the best way to save Branwen's kingdom and gain her father's approval--but she'll have to compromise her morals to do it. As she delves deeper into the practice of dark magic, the line between right and wrong begins to blur, leaving her to wonder if the ends really do justify the means.

Pure fluff and world-building in short story form. I just wanted to write a cute winter/Christmas story, ok guys? The first chapter is a legend of how the holiday came to be, and the second will be about how the misfits celebrate this holiday.
