Misophonia Stories

In middle school we are all just trying to find our crowd. After the populars, jocks, and druggies scatter, the outcasts are left to form their own group. My group is called 'The Nerd Herd'. We are often ignored or picked on but we had each other right? Well I mean sort of... There's always drama though. Fitting in somewhere is the only way through middle school though. Sort of... These are the people who will accept you for being a little off because they also want to survive. My group was strange. A few of us were even cheerleaders!? All of us had something off about us but we were all good at something. We were special. No not in that way... Well sort of but thats a different story. We actually were the largest group in the school because we didn't leave people out. What happened?

Vera's been lost, confused, and sad for the past two years. She just can't seem to get better. Losing your best friend, your person, and the only person who could make you somebody in this world will certainly do that to you. Until she realizes her happiness has been right under her nose all this time.

I hate living in a world where it seems like practically everyone triggers my Misophonia/Misokinesia and there's never a day where I get peace. So I need to vent about it, I need to get the emotion out. This might get overly simple and repetitive. But this is my life, I live with it constantly. And my Misophonia & Misokinesia are based around repetition. So... Yeah. This is a thing.

Story of a misophonia sufferer.. A story of a girl who has alot of dreams (tobefulfiled) but unfortunately she's stucked by a rare disorder a sound sensitivity disorder termed as "MISOPHONIA" For those who don't know this below down i have given some info about it do read it so it will help you to get this story MISOPHONIA : also known as selective sound sensitivity syndrome, starts with a trigger. It's often an oral sound -- the noise someone makes when they eat, breathe, chew, yawn, or whistle. Sometimes a small repetitive motion is the cause -- someone fidgets, jostles you, or wiggles their foot. If you have a mild reaction, you might feel: Anxious Uncomfortable The urge to flee Disgust If your response is more severe, the sound in question might cause: Rage Anger Hatred Panic Fear Emotional distress A desire to kill or stop whatever is making the noise The disease can put a cramp in your social life. You might avoid restaurants or eat separately from your spouse, family, or roommates. Or worse, you could act on what you feel. You might attack the person who's making the sound -- physical or verbally -- cry, or run away from the situation. Over time, you may respond to visual triggers, too. Seeing someone get ready to eat or put something in their mouth might set you off. How Do You Get It? This lifelong condition usually starts between the ages of 9 and 13 and is more common with girls. It comes on quickly, but isn't related to any one event. Doctors aren't sure what causes misophonia, but it's not a problem with your ears. They think it's part mental, part physical. It could be related to how sound affects your brain and triggers automatic responses in your body. Because your ears are normal and your hearing is OK, the doctor may have trouble with a diagnosis. Misophonia is sometimes mistaken for anxiety or bipolar or obsessive-compulsive disorder. Some doctors think it should be classified as a new disorder. MISOPHONIA SOURCE:WebMD

Everyone goes through tough times in their lives, some tougher than others. Grey Emerson is just one person that has a string of conflicts that he must endure. With a disorder that brings a savage part of him out, he tries his hardest not to succumb to it and hurt the ones he loves. A story of pain and betrayal, Grey must learn to live with his troubles and he must do his best to get through them.

I have recently learned that I have Misophonia. I have done research and learned that I also have multiple other mental disorders. This story will follow my life and how I cope with these disorders.

I took my feelings, stuck them in a blender and poured them out for all to see. Swell. Poems, philosophy, quotes, and other thoughts that fill up the empty spaces in life. Brace yourself. Its a rollercoaster out there. Feedback and suggestions are welcome and encouraged...enjoy!

This isn't really a story. You can read it and think I'm utterly insane but maybe someone will be able to relate to this so that they don't feel insane and alone as I once did. Most sounds annoy some people, like chewing, slurping, gulping, nail biting. Misophonia is when sounds like these cause a physical reaction, like anger or sadness. This is my experience with it.

Misophonia is a real struggle and is not something people should play with, you are valid and deserve respect.

8. 8 mothers. 8 fathers. 8 babies. 8 tragedies. 8 doctors. 8 diagnoses. 8 lives that had been planned out since day 1. But, they didn't know that. 8 teenagers that were scared, struggling and alone. Until they find each other. Their entire lives they have been in danger, in danger of being hurt by others, in danger of them hurting themselves...but, now they have finally found there own safe place. In each other. But, will that be enough to protect them from whats about to come?
