Ichor poisoning can happen from being around Ichor, touching Ichor, or breathing in Ichor for too long. Think of it like mold in a way. All in all, just think of MLP stages of infection. The elevators can work both ways. For runs, if injured too much, the toons can simply choose to go back up.
