The Joy of Becoming
After writing "The Sacred Journey of the Heart", I thought things would finally get easier.
I believed letting go was the end of heartbreak and the beginning of peace.
But I didn't know that was only the beginning-
The start of my journey into the wilderness.
In that season, I found myself drawn to men I wouldn't normally want,
making compromises I never thought I would,
loving without being valued or cherished.
I gave pieces of myself away, hoping it would lead to love,
but all I found was hurt.
No closure. Just pain, silence, and questions that seemed to never end.
The Joy of Becoming was born from that place-
A raw, honest, and sacred reflection of what it means to fall apart and still choose to grow.
This is not a story of perfection. It's a story of process.
Of learning to let God heal what I tried to fix on my own.
Of learning to love myself the way He always has.
If you've ever lost yourself in someone else,
If you've ever settled, compromised, or questioned your worth-
This journey is for you.
You are not too far gone.
There is joy-even in this.
There is joy in becoming.
