All she remembers is waking up in a field of wheat as a young child again and coming face to face with a young Kate Carter. She remembers the blonde smiley girl in front of her grabbing her hand, running back through the rain, thunder and lightning, back to the front porch where Kate's mom had been calling after her. After sitting down by the fireplace with blankets and hot cocoa, Hailey tells the two everything she can remember about her old life. The only thing she has left of it are the three sets of dog tags she never takes off, Mavericks, Iceman's and her own. From that day on, the girls were raised as sisters.
