you are y/n l/n and you're 17 years old. your pmom died when you were very little so you don't remember her. you were raised by your dad until the age of 8 when he mysteriously dissapeared. a few weeks after your dad dissapeared, when you're wondering around town starving, you come across another kid. He says his name is Shizizuki and he's only 10 years old. he helps you giving you food and new clothes. From then on you stick to him like glue. You become best friends, that is until someone or something murders him. You wake up three days after his death in the mikagi shrine. Nanami is the human kami of that shrine and she fulfils her duties as a land God with the help of her 2 familiars Tomoe the white fox and Mizuki the white snake. You and Mizuki hit it off right away but as time progresses you begin to grow feelings for him. Will he return your feelings or will you be heartbroken? Again.

Shina was a strange girl, had a weird personality, wore a strange mask and even her power was weirder than, them all combined. She was a God to have survived without a familiar, yet every human would forget her. She is, the God of Time & Memory. Mizuki, afraid Shina's existence would die out if she doesn't own a familiar sooner or later. He sticks by her side, like a moth to a lightbulb. But another did too, after witnessing her power and capability. He uses her, tricks her .... Deceives her, and lies just to get his body back. Because of that, they uncover a secret that they regret having found out. Because if Shina was to ever find out. What would happen to her existence yet her memories, even her parents.

Tomoe is Nanami's familiar, they live together in the shrine with the spirits Onikiri and Kotetsu. This is before Nanami meets Mizuki. In this story you live with Kurama, you're paying him to teach you how to fit into human society, only Kurama is troubling with his feelings for you, one day Kurama suggests you join him to school and so you did. You and Kurama spend time together before your eyes landed on Tomoe and Nanami, you met Nanami and Tomoe and quickly became friends with them. Nanami and you hung out a lot as Tomoe just went along. So much for human society... You? You're a yokai, well, you make yourself out to be, you're the landgod of the Sayo shrine, you abandoned the shrine to live the life of a yokai without responsibility. One day Otohiko visits you telling you that you need to take care of your shrine or you wont be able to come to the Devine Assembly. You knew Tomoe's former master, Mikage-sama from his past, Kurama told you he now belonged as a familiar of a human land god who inherited Mikage's sign and came to mock Tomoe and stay at the shrine for a while, in your time together with them, you meet Mizuki. -Disclaimer- I do not own any of the characters in this book besides the 'reader'. you and mizuki are in the same homeroom class, the class which an calls "how to second year" for unbeknownst reasons. even though they don't come to school all often, they do come everyday for the first week to cause mischief with you, an, rui, nene, and akito. you fall for the pink haired girl as soon as you see them, but you can't tell if they like you back. (spoilers, they do!) in the meantime, ena has fallen for mizuki as well. ena knows that mizuki likes you, and starts growing distant, and extremely jealous. who will mizuki choose? how will it all play out..?

After Akina was sixteen she was married to a god leaving Y/n alone then she met a white snake with beautiful emerald eyes. FYI~I don't any characters So I know how Tomoe is probably the most important ship in this anime, plus it is the one Nanami will go for...gotta admit I do love Tomoe, however, after I met Mizuki and his complications and how he was lonely I was like " SENPAIIII NOTICE MEEE" There are not many stories on Mizuki so this one is sort of based on a selfish reason. Hope you enjoy it nonetheless If the mature content isn't your thing, you probably might wanna find another one. This doesn't contain a lot so if you're looking for a really...lively story this isn't the place either.
