--- "And you? Mizuki?" Rui asked. He turned his head and smiled slightly. The fading sunset in the distance was overcast with a howling breeze in the chilly air. As the two of them stood on top of that lonesome rooftop, Mizuki couldn't help but clench their fists behind their back. "...Yeah", They smiled, "That... that's wonderful." Rui laughed and brushed his hands on Mizuki's long , wavy hair. He could't help but notice the hollow, broken emptiness on on their face. "...Mizuk-" He started. Suddenly, his phone started vibrating in his pocket, to which he dug in to answer. His eyes grew wide. "Oh-I almost forgot! I have to get going, the show's starting already and I haven't even gotten there yet. I'll see you.. oh, wait. I have practice tomorrow as well. Uh, wait, I think I have time next week but I'd have to reschedule-- " "Rui." "...Yes?" "I-... forget about me. Go to practice. That's more important." Mizuki bitterly laughed and smiled up at him. Rui raised his eyebrows, "..Really? Are you sure? But..." Mizuki continued smiling. The sun was going down, and it was getting dark. Rui paused, but slowly nodded and put his phone away. He headed towards the door that leads to the flight of stairs. At that moment, Mizuki couldn't help but feel their soul gnaw a putrid, rotting feeling into their heart. "R-rui!" They turned back around to face him. The purple haired boy looked up from the door handle. Mizuki's face dropped. What were they doing? "I...I.." They muttered. But not words came out. "... Sorry. It's nothing. See you, Rui." --- It wasn't until they heard the door shut did they finally break down, their knees collapsing onto the hard gravel. This is an AU of pjsk where there are two kingdoms, who historically hates each other, each one with different princesses and warriors. They will be telling the story of the White Day, and who knows what happens after it...

Mizuki; a young high school student who has feelings for their best friend Rui, they felt like they needed to tell him but everytime they would come closer Rui would get taken away by his classmate, always the same one...and as Mizuki was about to tell him his feelings one day...this finally..happened.

Tsukasa and Rui have been childhood friends ever since! Being neighbours. Play dates every single day with saki and toya over aswell. Soon this would all end when tsukasas parents got a better job and saki got better healthcare. Making Tsukasa move away from them. Rui had a diary that he would mark down what they did taking notes of their future, and other stuff. Now, Rui is in his last year of high school when there was a new student. Both male and female.

There is a lot going on. From his sister more frequently having to stay at home because of her illness, to Rui confessing his feelings, to him getting sick of his own voice and personality, to Mizuki and the rest of the cast becoming friends and seemingly forgetting about him for a while, there's a lot going on. Somewhere along the way, he seems to have lost grip on his true feelings. It all starts on the rooftop. Why does everything always start on the rooftop? --- Everyone is gay and there's a vaguely coherent timeline. Tsukasa and Rui both want to die (who doesn't tbh). No Saki is not used exclusively as a way to make Tsukasa sad since apparently that's a common theme and I don't want anyone getting confused from the summary Crossposted on AO3/Wattpad because I want attention.
