But when she was found that night, standing knee-deep in the lake, whispering to something unseen, they knew something was wrong. Julia was the first to say it out loud: "She's infected." At first, no one wanted to believe her. It sounded ridiculous, like some cheap horror movie plot. But as more contestants began to show symptoms-twitching fingers, unfocused eyes, violent outbursts-the truth became undeniable. The infection wasn't just making them sick. It was changing them.
