long ago during the dawn of the avatar there were five nations and six types of bending fire, air, water, earth, light, and dark. legend told of a child born during a eclipse who could bend both light and dark and would teach the avatar the two elements and bring balance to the world. however when the other nations were warring against each other the earth kingdom attacked and killed all of the light and dark benders or so they thought. one survived the son of the eclipse tribes chieftain and the eclipse child of prophecy he will bring balance and restore his tribe.
