Three young children from different parts of the world head to Coura Academy to learn to become professional and experienced Monster breeders. As they study their lessons and try to train their study Monsters, they have to go through criticism from other students because of the segregated land, and they learn more about the legendary Phoenix and the Monster that could bring doom, the Deathwing.
