Her name is Elizabeth; she doesn't have glass slippers but what she wanted was a pair of Jimmy Choo, and perhaps a Prince Charming, Andrew, would be a nice-to-have. This is my contribution to our Cinderella Anthology Project (https://ithinkisayido.wordpress.com/2017/01/04/invitation-write-your-own-cinderella-story/), this is my take on the classic folktale. There is room to grow this to a full short story but for the blog, this was limited to less than 1,500 words. I am working on the full one.

A Modern Cinderella Retelling

The wonderful story of Cinderella, modernized and with a twist. Just a little drag and some funny characters with unique characteristics. Hopefully a comedy with some humor, a pinch of teenage angst and a ton of memes. Disclaimer : I co-own the plot with some of my friends. Purely weirdness that we made for laughs. This is a Cinderella story in modern times. Unlike many modern ones, this one has much of a twist.

This poetry is about when there was a time when stories were used to be like a Cinderella watching from window thinking and waiting that a hero will come and take her away from the pain and misery of life after fighting with dragons and defeating the dragon , they will live happy and lovely cheerful life after that , but it was a story of an entire different era , where people used to be like that , there expectations from a person used to be different, there hopes were different , the way they used appreciate someone's love was different but in todays world the hero comes he goes to save the Cinderella and he fights with the dragon for her but in this new world the Cinderella was never waiting for him for Cinderella the image of hero is different for her he would not only save her life but he should be tall , handsome , rich , famous a man of her dream . In this world your love or how much you sacrifice for someone doesn't matter until or unless you can provide the exact materialistic thing in the world , here this tale tells that , I never got know the actual story , people used to say if you work hard and fight to save Cinderella from demon she will live with you for entire life but she never came ,and after doing all this when I didn't get Cinderella I used to think I am the reason of her problems that's why I am not getting her but in love there is punishment but their is no hearing .
