Glancing up I caught Charlie with one hand deep inside the metal garbage can she used as a makeshift cauldron while her other hand was frantically flipping pages of her floating spell book. I wish I could say this wasn't normal sight in our apartment, however that would be a lie.

"So... Do we have a deal?" The demon raised his eyebrows and smirked, already knowing the answer, but extending his hand in the customary handshake anyway. Nick examined the hand critically. His grandmother warned him not to make deals with demons, but she also threw lemons at snails and drank iced tea by the gallon. "Do you have a contract I could look over or...?"
