Annabella was given up for adoption as a baby. She never knew her mother or father. But it's probably for the best. Her and her friends are huge fans of Molotov jukebox so for Annabelle's 16 birthday they sneak out and go to a Molotov jukebox concert. That's where she bumps into Sam Apley. She's star struck. He invites her backstage to meet the band so he can make sure she's okay. That's where she meets Natalia Tena. At first she doesn't seem to notice the similarities between her and the singer. It's her friends that start pointing it out. She later finds out that Natalia Tena is in fact her mother.
