Following the events of the last book, Shelly Yangtze, Quinci Laciasal, and their friends are trapped in the Instinct Base. Raichu Human, the new leader of Team Instinct, threatens to take over the other teams and disrupt the peace once made by the previous team leaders. It seems like there is no hope, no way for Team Valor and Mystic to fight back until the four friends discover a sliver of hope: a long forgotten Pokemon Sanctuary where legend says the three legendary birds reside. But will the friends escape Raichu's clutches long enough to harness the powers of the Legendaries? Or will Raichu beat them in the race?
