A vintage AI catgirl from 1920 wakes up in a modern home. A #catgirl #momlife #scifi #romance #sliceoflife she never saw coming. A chef and an AI have no business being parents. Too bad no one told the 102 kids who crashed their kitchen at 3:03 AM. Between bottles, code, and zero sleep, they learned one truth: you don't program a family... you improvise it. Fueled by coffee, held together by chaos, and stitched with way too much love. This isn't about artificial intelligence. It's about a real, messy, imperfectly perfect love.

After her messy divorce, 35-year-old single mom Auren swore off romance. With five kids, a business still tied to her ex, and a best friend who keeps pushing her toward dating, love was the last thing on her to-do list. Until she met Jake. He's 24, a gym rat with a TikTok following, and the kind of guy who flexes in the mirror and accidentally makes her laugh out loud. Sweet but clueless, gorgeous but too young, Jake is everything Auren promised herself she didn't want. But late-night workouts turn into unexpected conversations. Jokes turn into sparks. And sparks turn into something much harder to ignore. Now, caught between co-parenting chaos, her daughter's first boyfriend, and her ex-husband's drama, Auren has to ask herself one terrifying question: What if the "wrong" guy is exactly the right one?

Meet Grace, a resilient 47-year-old African American woman. She's a devoted mother and wife, having celebrated 25 years of marriage. Her world revolves around her family, which includes a 19-year-old son and a 23-year-old daughter. However, in the aftermath of a devastating global pandemic, life has taken an unexpected turn for her and her children. The family grapples with the weight of post-pandemic depression. Grace, like her children, bears her own struggles with depression but chooses to keep moving forward, determined to be the rock her family needs. Despite her unwavering dedication and years of experience, Grace finds herself at odds with a world that seems to have forgotten her. She faces relentless abuse at her workplace, enduring the taunts and discrimination of her much younger coworkers. Determined not to give in, Grace embarks on a challenging journey. She must navigate the harsh reality of ageism in a job market that appears tailored for the younger Gen Z generation. Despite the obstacles in her path, she refuses to surrender to the sense of obsolescence that threatens to consume her. "Beneath the Surface" is a poignant tale of a mother's tenacity, a family's struggle with depression, and an unwavering fight against discrimination and ageism. Grace's journey will inspire, uplift, and resonate with readers as they delve into the complex and ever-relevant issues of our time.

***THIS STORY WILL BECOME FREE ON JULY15th!*** Beverly Curie only lives for herself (and maybe ice cream). When her three nieces are suddenly put under her care, she must do the impossible: think about someone other than herself. Beverly is the only member of her family left in Chestnut Ridge, where she's kept the same routine for eight years: do as little work as possible during the day, marathon sitcoms in the evening, and try (for the life of her) to get everyone to leave her alone. When she loses her position at Red Ribbon's Craft Store, Beverly is left without a job and without a paycheck. Then her estranged sister, Aimee, calls with an impossible favor: Could Beverly take care of her three nieces for six months? It's insane. But then there's the thirty thousand dollars that Aimee offers to pay and Beverly can't resist. Suddenly, she's stuck taking care of three little girls, trying not to kill the soccer moms at the snobby Percival Academy, and joining the PTO. Now Beverly--self-serving, sarcastic, and problematic--must take on the role of a loving parent. And she is anything but.
