A short Kaimaki fan fiction.

Kaito and Maki have known each other since freshman year of college. They're amazingly close, and Rantaro and Kokichi tease Maki constantly about how obliviously in love they are. She, however, thinks he's just a really great friend and tends to rely on him for a lot of things. They meet on the balcony every night, Maki's legs dangling over the side rather dangerously, and Kaito worrying she's going to fall. It's very obvious flirting, but they're both dumb teens who don't know any better. ----- This is my first fic, so I hope you enjoy! ⚠️ CHARACTERS DO NOT BELONG TO ME⚠️

Would going to Denny's at two in the morning be considered a late dinner? A super early breakfast? A midnight snack, perhaps? [Spoilers ahead and especially in the story!!] .・。.・゜✭・ Annually, Junko produces a twisted reality series on TV through the eyes of each protagonist's lucid like dream of a killing game. She chooses 1 of 16 to narrate the Neo World Program, but the Future Foundation manages to stop each run just in time. But even from the stop of these, participants are still left traumatized from this deep sleep. This story follows the character Maki Harukawa and how she deals with unfortunate events even after waking up from the program and how Kaito Momota helps her.

Maki Harukawa is a stoic and calculated assassin sent on a mission to kill the heroic and passionate Prince Kaito at the royal ball. Her mission seems to be going fine until the unknowing prince takes her hand and swoops in for a dance. While she somehow finds herself charmed by him, she also sees her entire career shattering before her. As this strange first encounter brings the two closer, they both start to feel their worlds turn upside down. Will Maki's stone-cold heart finally melt? How far will Prince Kaito go to protect the woman trying to murder him? (This story is loosely based on fanart by @/sarenaria on Instagram! Cover art is created by them as well!)

Memories never seem to fade, they bloom when I think of you V3 Postgame Momoharu, Saimota mentioned in like 2 sentences?? Ah yes, with a side of (attempted) poetic angst. But with a happy(?) ending. I think. That's up to you, actually. (I don't know how to format here I'm used to Ao3 lol) This is also the first fic I've ever written so yeah, it's.... ehh
