Trapped in the cruel and dark world of the Nowhere, Mono and Six need to learn to trust each other in order to survive and find hope. Despite never meeting before, throughout their journey Mono is followed by a dreadful feeling of déjà vu. Does he truly not know Six? And are his visions meant to come true? Mono Is a young man, blooming into adulthood yet already beginning to take responsibility in life - At the age of fourteen, he is faced with a harsh decision: choosing the world above water, tending to his job as a sailor, or listening to the call of the sea; which he has always felt a special connection to. His world was shaken after he met a familiar face on the beach, and all of his morals and life decisions and beliefs put to question at the sudden discovery that mermaids are very much real, and his childhood friend had became one after nearly four years without them seeing each other. How will he cope with the knowledge? Will he manage to keep the secrets hidden from The Captain? Will he give in to the call of the sea? There is only one way to find out. Pretender is named Persephone, RCG is named Onda, The Hunter is The Captain, Spoongirl is Sebbo.

character descriptions: Six (AKA Sasha???): unlike the other children to attempt escape from the Maw, she actually did, along with a young boy named Seven. three years later, she is captured by a hunter and freed by a mysterious young boy named Mono. rather aloof, six shows no appreciation towards Mono's friendliness and help. it seems she may have only used him since she was unable to do certain tasks herself. six is possesive, manipulative, and jealous of Mono. Mono: there is an endless amount of love for six in this child. Mono is always willing to do anything to help her, even if it means harm to himself or others. he is a smart, simple minded child, capable of great talents. he just hasn't found them yet. whenever Mono sets out on a task for six, he will go through extreme measures, and will never give up until the task is complete. just another Monix story. this one takes place two years after *spoiler* Six dropped Mono. she is having extreme regrets. Six really hopes Mono will find and help her...
