As the ground begins to pulse and a towering composite creature briefly rises from the pit, the workers flee-leaving behind a seemingly calm marsh that still, unmistakably, breathes.

Deep within a cavern, explorers awaken a colossal skeletal titan, long entombed by ancient forces, that rises with unstoppable, bone-shaking hunger.

The day is not a great big fish, though Polly wishes it was. Her boots slip and squelch through the mud as the rain batters down. It blurs her vision so she can't see the enemy soldiers that she knows are surrounding them. It turns out that once the enemy knows that you have a vampire in your squad, they get very very good at disguising themselves.. Set after the events of Monstrous Regiment. Polly gets hurt whilst leading her squad. Maladict worries.

No one will ever forget when Jim Kirk's entire psyche was remodeled by alien forces, causing unbridled mischief and mayhem while en route to destroy a peaceful planet. Having just replaced his entire crew on a whim, the new and improved Kirkster sets forth to keep the universe evil and predictable, but does he achieve his questionable aims? Not sure. Haven't read it yet, but I'm all for avoiding change.

In the desolate Patagonian desert, archaeologists uncover an eight-foot skull unlike anything known to science. As night falls, the earth trembles, the skull vanishes, and the team disappears-leaving only a trail carved into the sands. Locals whisper that something ancient has awakened, still searching for the rest of its bones.

Monstrous mon·strous ˈmänstrəs/ adjective (Of a person or an action) inhumanly or outrageously evil or wrong He was my dark soul mate. I was his only weakness. But we had a monstrous love story that needs to be told.
