Twelve's The Word: twelve stones, twelve powers, twelve months. Scattered across the normally peaceful town of Minestown, these magical stones are smaller pieces of a larger stone that can grant one, powerful wish. Wanting to assemble this wish-granting stone, three preteens must find each gemstone over the course of twelve months, though the road ahead will be full of surprises, big and small.

"How long was I out for?" "'Out'?" "Asleep," I clarify. The nurse walks over and pants my gently on my non-IV hand. "Only five months. I've seen worse." So, Blake's been in a coma for five months. Cool. That's great. Not. But, as hard as it is to believe, she has bigger problems. Namely, her parents deciding to publish the book she was writing. It was supposed to just be for fun, but because of the whole author-being-in-a-coma thing, it's become a success. Like, bestseller success. Suddenly everyone knows Blake's name. Like waking up from a coma isn't hard enough on its own. And there's also the fact that the first person she wanted to call after waking up was her boyfriend's best friend, and NOT her boyfriend. But she'll figure that out later. For now, she's just caught up with trying to figure out how to leave her house without being photographed. She suddenly has a newfound sympathy for people like Nina Dobrev and Taylor Swift.
