Damien doesn't know who he is. At least, he doesn't think he does. When he wakes up on a beach with no recollection of when he got there, covered in scars and horribly confused, the last thing he needs to hear is that he isn't even human anymore. With the help of the inhabitants of St Martin's Rehab Centre for Supernaturals, and the clues provided by his mother and one photo album, he sets about trying to regain the memories he lost and unravel the mystery of the man he once loved. As his past starts to return to him and he realises the scale of his loss, the pieces of a gruesome puzzle start to fit together. I don't know how the ship that was supposed to drop me off at a port in New York, halted in India and out of all the things that had to be taken off, was my coffin, with me sleeping peacefully inside. I am now stuck in a region called "Mumbai," in India. I wish I can suck someone dry, but their blood is filled with the venom of garlic. Brr. Its been three days and I am dying of hunger. A man with a hooded face walks past and glances back at me, his eyes bore right through me, as I sit huddled on a pavement. "Here..take this bottle. It has your food," he says and throws the bottle at me. I catch it easily between my thumb and index finger. I sniff the dark coloured bottle, there is definitely blood there. I pull the cork, with my teeth and guzzle it down, not realising that it will turn me into something, I was completely unprepared for.
