Moonrise Stories

At the age of 11, poetry became an obsession. Some of my poems were, well, in need of help; however, others were actually very well put together. I decided to pull all of my poem works together and publish them for others to read, and, to maybe even inspire others. This collection is all my old works, my... Beginning poetry writing per-say. Some of them have a little backstory at the end to explain why I wrote what I did, but others don't, as I never really had a story. I just wrote. Please enjoy all the cringe-worthy poems I wrote in my preteen into my teen years, and I hope I have inspired you to write poems. (I give you permission to use these poems in whatever you like, as long as you give me credit!!)

Is it normal to be so insanely attracted to a person from far away that you feel completely drawn to them ? Is it normal if they remind you of home even though you have never met them ? Gurshan knew he was staring but he couldn't stop, the view in front of him was so beautiful that he was scared to even blink just in case she won't be there when he opens his eyes again. His Trance of thoughts broke when a tall male figure covered his view and his heart dropped a bit. Was it a heartbreak ? But he didn't even know her .....

They love children so it didn't bother them to babysit the parents children while they worked. Moondrop on the other hand, they hated children. They wanted to end Gregory from the start, though they couldn't because of, Freddy. Sunrise and Moondrop are like exact opposites. Sun was weak in the dark, therefore they have to stay by the light or dim. Moon is the opposite. They are weak to light, therefore they have to stay by the dark or dim. - - As Sunrise was babysitting Gregory for Freddy once again, they noticed something, strange...

Now I know what you're thinking: "Bitch, it ain't even the first Wednesday of the month!" Well, I (unshockingly) dropped the ball on that one. But with July having just arrived like two weeks ago, I figured why not start Director Wednesdays back up? So for the month of July we will be looking into the works of Wes Anderson.

When Suzy ran away with Sam in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, she brought a suitcase full of books with her. Later, Wes Anderson released a short video with animated sequences of each book. He left us with a few tantalizing sentences and images from which to construct our own stories. Here's what he gave us from The Francine Odysseys: "His eyes downcast, his kingdom in ruins, Mynar pressed his heavy paw through the rippling surface of the cool shallows and down to its stone floor. ‘My people were once lead my a great and noble beast and I no longer see his face in this reflection.’ Meanwhile, on the plains of Tabitha, Francine rested. There would be another time for war." Building on that, I'm writing the full story of The Francine Odysseys, in all its corny 1960s YA glory. If I know anything about Suzy as a character, it's that she has good taste in books. The books that she brought along with her on her adventure deserve to exist.

Several years later, he grew up becoming a gangster. Sam went back to New York under Corleone's command to assassinate a senator, who happened to be Suzy's husband.
