Lily Evans, A Muggle-Born, Gryffindor. Remus Lupin, Half-Blood, also Gryffindor. They were bound to be best friends throughout their years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Lily and Remus took similar classes, in the same house as each other, followed each other around everywhere and anywhere. Remus was introduced to a boy Lily was being flirted with. James Potter, Pure-Blood, also a Gryffindor. Remus was then accepted into their group. The Marauders. He stayed with Lily, and grew closer throughout the year, and closest in dark times for Remus. Their friendship blossomed like Lilies, and shone in the dark like Full Moons.

UMM i dont know what im doing but oh well. This story takes place in modern time but its mostly the same stuff.
